OSPF Protocol

An OSPF network can be divided into sub-domains called areas
There are three core OSPF network types – Broadcast, point-to-point, and non-broadcast

Broadcast:
By default, OSPF considers the network type as broadcast
On a broadcast network, hello, LSU, and LSAck packets are multicast to
224.0.0.5 identifies all OSPF routers
224.0.0.6 identifies the DR and BDR
DD packets and LSR packets are unicast.

P2P:
On a P2P network, OSPF packets are multicast to 224.0.0.5
