Geraint Thomas stayed in fifth place despite a crash on Thursday
Geraint Thomas recovered from a crash to retain fifth place overall at Paris-Nice as Nacer Bouhanni sprinted to victory on stage four.
Thomas (Team Sky) fell with about 35km remaining after a touch of wheels but was able to rejoin the peloton and crossed the line 11th on the day.
He remains 19 seconds down on overall leader Michael Matthews (Orica-GreenEdge), who finished fifth on the day, just ahead of Britain's Ben Swift (Team Sky) in sixth
