#ieee 802.1Q tagged VLANs, frames are tagged with a VLAN ID so that switches can distinguish which VLAN a frame belongs to. However, untagged frames are also allowed to traverse a trunk port, and these frames are associated with the native VLAN.
Here's how it works:
1)Tagged Frames: These frames have a VLAN tag in their Ethernet header, indicating which VLAN they belong to. When a frame enters a trunk port with a tag, the switch forwards it to the appropriate VLAN.
2)Untagged Frames: Frames that don't have a VLAN tag are treated as belonging to the native VLAN of the trunk port. This is done to maintain compatibility with older devices that don't support VLAN tagging. The switch will forward these frames to the native VLAN.
