With these three Google Sheets tasks, take your productivity to a higher level. These five spreadsheet tasks range from finding the address of a cell in less than a second to three ways of editing data in a cell to preformating a range of cells.
Let's get to know these google spread sheet tasks:
Task 1
How to Get the Address of Cell Quickly?
The address of a cell is its column label and its corresponding row number. Example: A24. Here A is the column label and 24 is its corresponding row number.
The time-consuming and potentially error-prone way of getting the address of a cell is to click the cell and trace its column and row number. However, Google Sheets provides a way of accurately getting a cell address in the blink of an eye in just one step.
Here is the step:
Click the cell whose address you want to know. Google Sheets displays the address of this cell to the left of the Formula bar.
Task 2
What are Three Ways to Edit Cell Data?
You can edit Google Sheets data in a cell in three different ways.
Replace Data: If you wish to completely change the data in a cell, first click that cell. Next, simply type the new data and press Enter.
Edit Data: You can edit data in a cell in one of these two ways.
Method 1: Click the cell in the spreadsheet whose data you want to edit. Press Enter. Edit the data and press Enter again.
Method 2: Click the cell you wish to edit. Click the Formula bar. Change the data and press Enter.
Task 3
How to Preformat Range of Cells?
If you preformat a range of cells, Google Sheets automatically displays data, in such cells, in the specified format.
Say you want to preformat a range of cells in the Currency format. Here are the steps.
Select a range of cells. Click the down arrow in the More formats icon. Select Currency. Click a formatted cell. Type the data and press Enter. The data will be prefixed with the dollar symbol.
