In a predominantly female-centric field, finding a pelvic floor therapy provider who works with men is rare. What’s even more rare, is finding a male pelvic floor therapy provider. Unfortunately, for men, options are limited. According to an estimate from the the Academy for Pelvic Health Physical Therapy, out of 3,836 members only 677 indicated that they treat men; that’s only 17% of their members. Why is this a problem? There are millions of men desperately seeking pelvic care and unfortunately, there exists a care gap in men's pelvic health, which creates barriers for men when it comes to seeking proper healthcare for their urological and sexual health concerns. Despite these staggering statistics, times are changing! More healthcare providers are opening their doors to treating men. Join Dr. Susie Gronski, PT, DPT and her guest, Dr. Jake Bartholomy, PT, DPT as they expose the hard truths in the field of men’s pelvic health for both men seeking care and providers, common misconceptions around men’s pelvic floor physical therapy, and they even sneak in a little anal play 😉.

Meet our guest, Dr. Jake Bartholomy, PT, DPT:
