Astronomers have obtained the first image of this supermassive black hole viewed in polarized light.
Thanks to the image, magnetic fields around the black hole can also be observed.
This black hole is located at the center of the M87 galaxy, which is 55 million light-years away from Earth.
The imaged black hole, which is 6.5 billion times more massive than the Sun, is located in the M87 Galaxy, 54.8 million light years away from the Milky Way Galaxy.
