How To Fix Error Code 0xd000a002 We Weren't Able To Set Your PIN [Solution]

In this tutorial, we are going to talk about this issue and see what you have to do if Windows shows Error 0xd000a002, Something went wrong and your PIN isn’t available in Windows 11/10. Some Windows users reported that they are unable to use their PIN to log in to their computers and when they try to do the same their computers say Something went wrong and your PIN isn’t available.

If you cannot set up or use Windows Hello Pin or if it is not working, maybe the NGC Folder got corrupted. This folder contains details of Windows Hello authentication and can get corrupted.

Recreate NGC Folder:
1. Open File Explorer and click on View / Show / Hidden items.
2. Go to the following location.
C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft
3. Double-click on the Ngc folder to open it. Delete all the content.
4. Right-click on the Ngc folder and then go to the Properties
5. Go to the Security tab.
6. Click Advanced and then on the Change button associated with the Owner.
7. Type in Administrators in the Enter the object name to select field and click Ok.
Note: If you get an error message after typing Administrator, write Everyone instead.
8. Click Apply Ok.
9. Finally, restart your computer.

Make sure that Turn on convenience PIN sign-in is enabled:
1. Open Group Policy Editor and navigate to the following location. Administrative Templates / System / Logon.
2. Look for Turn on convenience PIN sign-in, double-click on the policy, and check Enabled. Finally, click Apply / Ok.
