Click on 3 dots at top right corner.
Click on setting.
Tap on accounts tab. (second tab )
Click on backup. this will store information in an encrypted format.
On secure backups page create master password. write the password. store in a place.
After choosing password click on enable backups.
Now open the twitter account in computer. click on more option located at the bottom.
Click on setting and privacy. click on accounts page.
Click on security option located above data and permission.
Tap on two factor authentication.
Click on authentication app.
Click on start button within a blue color box
Enter the password and click on verify button.
A new page will open with a QR CODE.
Open the Authy app on mobile.
Click on 3 dots. Tap on add account
There will be Scan QR code option. Click on it.
Scan the qr code on desktop twitter account.
If scan is successful then it shows twitter account name and logo.
Click on save button.
Now you will see six digit verification codes on authy app.
Come to the desktop. on QR code page of twitter desktop, Click on next option.
A new window will open "try authentication code now".
Your authy app is showing verification codes. enter these code in desktop twitter account. Tap on verify button.
You will be shown confirmation " You are all set "
Twitter will show you 12 digit single use backup code. Write it down and store it in safe place.
This code will help us recover twitter account.
Click on got it option.
On two factor authentication page of twitter, you will see a checkmark near authentication app option
if no checkmark is showing then do not worry. just repeat the process. this might show the checkmark option.
use a combination of phone verification and authentication app. this will help you recover twitter account if you do not know master password for authentication app.
