There are three kinds of CSS:
Author CSS: The developer writes it.
User CSS: It includes styles like the font-size of any webpage that the user can change in the browser settings.
Browser CSS: Some styles are pre-defined in the browser like in the case of anchor tags. This is known as Browser CSS, and the point of this cascade is to resolve the conflicts between the declarations coming from these three different CSS based on some factors.
