Burning The Oil
It's quite suprising going back to old edits and seeing just how many cuts and audio changes were made. Remastering them with true HD rips is proving to be harder than I thought. Logically you'd think just swap out the original transcoded MP4 with a higher quality one. But easy tasks being easy tasks im confronted with changes in frame rates and length. Causing entire edits to drift out by 2-6 seconds, which need to be corrected by going down the timeline at every cut and manually re-adjusting them all. A true fucking nightmare of a ball ache, especially when re-encoding the source files alone takes 4 hours at a time. But, the silver lining is I get the chance to have a good look and change things, add audio in, take it out, make the whole edit a better viewing experience. I hope you guys get a chance to watch them all.
