The new 3Ds Max update ships with a new powerful Array modifier that will help you boost your modeling process.
It can help you create Chains,Brick walls,Patterns,Wood Flooring,Railings and much more.

In this example we will use it to generate a parametric facade for your architectural visualizations.

Follow the steps in this short tutorial:

Attach your Facade Elements ( Make sure each facade piece is one element this important for the array to work)
Apply Array modifier
Increase copies on the X axis
Add random scale on the X axis in the randomization rollout
Apply a second array modifier
Change the relative offset to Fill
Disable Dynamic Spacing
Check Array by Element
Choose Center by X
Check Pack Elements
Increase the width to the desired width of the facade ( it’s recommended to increase it more than the actual width of your facade and apply slice modifier to remove the extra geometry to get a clean edge)
Increase the Length to the desired Height of the facade
Rotate 90 degrees
