Figure and OpenAI just released a demo of their Figure01 humanoid robot that can see, hear, think, move, and talk. It’s integrated with OpenAI and is mind-blowing. There have been a ton of advancements in the merging of ai and robotics recently, but this is by far the most impressive demo yet. I provide some context, dive deeper into the tech, and what this means for the future. It is using a fine-tuned multimodal LLM trained by OpenAI, not GPT-4.
