Use of gitignore to avoid Committing unwanted files to Git| Regular expression to ignore File in Git
▶️ In this video we will learn the Use of gitignore to avoid Committing unwanted files to Git, we can use regular expression to ignore Files with different names with same extensions or having same word in the file names etc.
▶️ Instead of having to ignore unwanted files manually, you can create a .gitignore file in the working directory of your project. Inside this file, you can specify simple patterns that Git will use to determine whether or not a file should be ignored.
▶️So we can use .gitignore for following examples --
1. Ignore a File
2. Ignore Folders
3. Ignore files with same extensions from any Folders
4. Ignore Files with Different names but with same extensions
5. Ignore Files regardless of Location & having same word in File name
