Today, we're taking a quick look at Boris FX's new standalone version of Particle Illusion. This is a FREE application to create intricate particle systems for visual effects and motion design, including smoke, fire, dust, and abstract particles. You can render out your particles in ProRes and bring them into your compositing application of choice, such as After Effects. We'll look at some their presets, how to use Particle Illusion, and my initial thoughts on how it stacks up to other particle systems like Trapcode Particular and Stardust.
