A year after the terrible attack in the United States on September 11, 2001, this short reminder note was published in one of the American newspapers. Listen to it carefully and perhaps several times if you are one of those who get nervous too often over small things.
Here is the text of this note:
Churchill, when making toasts, said the following: “I prefer not to wish anyone health or wealth, I wish only Luck! After all, most of those who were on the TITANIC were both healthy and rich. But very few of them were lucky."
Maybe you know that the head of one of the large companies survived the September 11 attack in New York because he took his son to kindergarten for the first time.
The other guy survived because it was his turn to go get donuts.
One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off on time.
Someone was late, stuck in traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike.
One of them missed the bus.
One woman spilled coffee on her clothes and needed time to change.
Someone's car wouldn't start, and someone else's
returned to answer the phone.
Another’s child was slow and wasn’t ready on time.
One couldn't get a taxi.
What particularly impressed me was the man who put on new shoes that morning, got to work by various means, but before getting there, developed a callus on his foot.
He stopped at the pharmacy to buy a band-aid! That's why he's alive now.
Now, when I'm stuck in a traffic jam, I don't have time to catch the elevator, I go back to answer the phone call...
When all these little things happen that irritate me, I think to myself that this is exactly where God wants me to be at the moment.
The next time you feel like your morning is going wrong, the kids are slow to dress, you can't find your car keys, you're stuck at every traffic light, don't get upset or lose your temper."
Good luck to you!
