Modeling a Realistic 3D Matatu in Blender 3.2 - With Some Great Background Music!
A Matatu is the most popular means of transport in Kenya. Matatus are characterized by beautiful graphics portraying the urban culture, booming trending music, and colorful LED lights everywhere. Typically, you can see the LEDs and graphics inside and outside.
I'm currently working on an animation project, and one of the objects I will need in the project is a matatu 3D model.
So while modeling it, I decided to document the process by recording my screen throughout. I'll probably show it to my great-grandchildren a few decades from now in the metaverse:-)
Here's a timelapse of me modeling the matatu in Blender for 15 hours. Don't worry, as you can see, I've sped up the video to just one hour with some nice background music for your enjoyment.
Oh, and did I mention that this is my FOURTH MONTH since I started learning Blender? If you're out there wondering if you can learn how to model complex objects in Blender, I hope this can be a source of inspiration for you.
