2. Sketch the Outline
Lightly sketch the basic shapes and outlines of your subject with a pencil. Keep the lines light so they don’t interfere with the oil pastel colors.

3. Apply the Base Colors
Start by applying the base colors of your subject. Use light pressure to apply a thin layer of oil pastel. This will serve as the foundation for your drawing.

4. Layer and Blend
Layer additional colors over your base layer. Use a blending stump, your fingers, or a piece of cloth to blend the colors together. This will help create smooth transitions and a more realistic look.
