Conditioning doesn’t need to be complicated, and intervals are a simple and effective way to structure conditioning. Intervals allow you to accumulate more volume at higher levels of effort without burning out. It is a fatigue management tool that can be used to increase the potency if your conditioning. Aside from running and cycling, I love to use intervals with bw squats. However, burpees, lunges, step ups, and kettlebell swings are all great exercises to use with intervals.
Start easy, easier than you think, and slowly build up.
