Helene has produced copious amounts of rainfall across the Hendersonville, North Carolina area today. This heavy rainfall has prompted a flash flood emergency. The flood gauge in the city has reached major flood stage, and floodwaters have inundated portions of the city. Flood waters have submerged many cars and homes in town.
