Why Can't He Ever See Part Two
Story Part Two:
After a restless night talking himself in and out of telling Inuyasha how he feels about him, he sits out with Inuyasha who is immediately defensive asking if Kagome send him to take him back home and refuses to. Miroku forces himself to reply about wanting to tell Inuyasha the truth.
Inuyasha sits next to him sensing his unease at talking about this. He confesses he long held love for Inuyasha and apologizes for selfishly springing it on him like this, but Inuyasha replies simply with: I knew.
Miroku and Inuyasha part ways and Miroku decides to bathe to help clear his head, wondering how he is supposed to respond to finding out that Inuyasha knew he liked him all along. Inuyasha comes to find him fearing he’d left, Miroku tries to reassure that he just bathing when due to his miasma poisoning, his body is weakened and he falls into the water.
Seeing this, Inuyasha jumps in the pulls him out not wanting him to drown. Not knowing why, he collapsed makes him nervous and angry at himself reveals more than he bargained for to a semi-conscious Miroku. Who asks what he thinks Inuyasha can’t tell him. Inuyasha explains the argument he had with Kagome was about his feelings for Miroku.
Miroku takes the opportunity to ask if there is hope of like turning into love. Inuyasha explains that he is confused and needs time to think things over. Miroku decides to give him the space he wants even though it wasn’t a yes.
A week passes by with no conclusive answers, Miroku starts getting frustrating with waiting but still doesn’t push. When they are attacked and Inuyasha is weakened and injured, Miroku reveals his wind tunnel forcing it’s spread. Inuyasha grabs his hand surprising Miroku, Inuyasha tells him he won’t let anything happen to Miroku.
Inuyasha sits alone after turning human at the full moon and thinks about him and Miroku. Miroku arrives and talk that evening, Miroku pushes for an answer and gets a request for more time in response. Miroku decides to make a clean break and leave in the morning when Inuyasha finally gives him his answer with a kiss.
