It's easy to take the sum of infinite series and study them, but what about the product of two series? We look at the usual way to define such a product which is called the Cauchy product and is an indispensable tool to study power series. Unfortunately, the Cauchy product doesn't always converge to the expected product unless you impose a condition called absolute convergence which we will also introduce.
