Everything I Wanted
Story:
Sango is trapped in a highly physical, psychological and emotional abusive relationship with Naraku, who has successfully isolated Sango after she almost died, before she met Miroku. Keeping her under his control is his ultimate goal and desire but, in her dreams, she slips away into a life she wanted to have with the man she admires, from afar, Miroku.
Naraku is angered that he cannot stop her from dreaming about this life, so instead destroys all hope of it happening in the real world, by showing her that Miroku has absolutely no idea who she is and desires other women. And the fact that nobody asks about her wounds or seems to care for her, twists her way of thinking into believing Naraku further. Sango tries desperately to cling onto her dreams of a life with Miroku but it is getting harder and harder to picture as Naraku continuously berates and belittles her whilst claiming to also love her.
Believing that this works when Sango collapses into his arms sobbing admitting that she knows she can’t be with Miroku. Sango completely defeated decides the best way out of this situation is to commit suicide and she does so, only to have Naraku save her life a second time so he can continue to have possession over his favourite toy.
