Iran unveils new 300km-range CM-300 Qadir anti-ship cruise missile
Designed to attack medium to large warships, the CM-300 is said to have a range of up to 300 km.
This missile is capable of being launched from surface warships and land-based platforms such as using heavy-duty trucks.
With its dual launch capability, the CM-300 can be deployed quickly and effectively in a variety of combat scenarios.
With this missile Iran has also increased the tactical range of its missiles across critical maritime zones such as the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
The CM-300 is designed to have high precision. The missile uses an inertial guidance system for its initial phase and active radar guidance for its final phase.
This missile is also supported by an integrated radar and command system, which allows it to detect and attack enemy ships accurately.
The CM-300 can fly at high subsonic speeds, namely in the range of 0.8 to 0.9 Mach, so it can reach its targets quickly.
Its propulsion system features a powerful booster rocket for the initial launch stage, and a turbojet engine to sustain long-range flight.
This missile is 6 m long and weighs 770 kg, and is equipped with a 165 kg warhead.
