Knack not seeking re-election in Ward Nakota Isga
Long-time local politician Andrew Knack will not be seeking re-election as an Edmonton city councillor.
Knack, a city councillor for more than a decade, said Monday he won't be running to represent Ward Nakota Isga on Edmonton city council in 2025 but continue working for the remainder of his term.
The three-term councillor was visibly emotional at a news conference inside the Alberta Art Gallery, next to city hall. Knack said he's had success advancing important projects and policies, but the city is dealing with complex issues and it's time for someone new to take over.
