comma three | openpilot 0.8.8 on 2021 Hyundai Sonata Self-Driving
[READ ME] This video is outdated! This was originally published to showcase the newly released comma three on openpilot 0.8.8. There are some cases in this video where openpilot has severely improved upon. For one, openpilot now stops at stop signs and red lights, using the new experimental mode! openpilot longitudinal also (sorta) works on the Hyundai Sonata!
The new comma three on my '21 Hyundai Sonata. Took it for a short drive, not ideal conditions but it works phenomenally. openpilot currently only does lateral control (steering) on the Hyundai Sonata, but hopefully will have longitudinal control (gas&brakes) sometime soon with VOACC. The video represents OP with the "kale" laneless model.

If the video is fixed in the frame, I am using a GoPro Hero9 mounted on my sunroof. If the video appears to be handheld, it's my iPhone 13 Pro.
Do you recommend openpilot?
If you 1) like the idea of L2 autonomous driving, 2) drive a "gold" vehicle, and 3) have the monetary means to purchase a comma three, then yes!
