How to install the Linux subsystem for Windows in the home edition of Windows 11.
In a previous blog post, we described how to install a Linux system of your choice in Windows 11 Pro. The steps for the home edition are mostly similar, but differ at small places.
Common error messages:
WslRegisterDistribution failed with error: 0x8007019e
The Windows Subsystem for Linux optional component is not enabled. Please enable it and try again.

Error: 0x80370102 The virtual machine could not be started because a required feature is not installed.
