The long-awaited Anji Hong has made it's way back to us!
This unconventional black tea puts a new twist on the cultivar that put Anji county on the map: Baiye #1, which the popular Anji Baicha green tea comes from.
As a black tea, it's malty, honeyed sweetness is a far cry from Anji Baicha's fresh and bright glow—but they both share a wonderfully light and delicate feeling that makes a day feel extra special.

Notes: I brewed 3x 3 minute brews by accident—I didn't get the camera ready in time to film a 1 minute steep—but all three infusions were still bright and lively!
Anji Hong always tastes impossibly sweet to me. While I did get a touch of fruitiness on the second two infusions, it truly was just the zing of ripe fruit without any of the bite.
