No tea ware? No problem! Wren compares brewing with out specialized tea ware (e.g. boiled tea & glass jar brewing) with traditional Yixing gong fu style. From the humble glass to all the way to traditional Yixing zisha (purple clay) pot, today’s tea reveals something different each way.
Many people are unfamiliar with boiling tea as a brewing style, but its actually a fun and casual way you can brew and get some surprisingly tasty flavors. Wren says, "Whenever I have company over, putting on a pot of roasty wulong or chocolaty black tea is my go-to, as it’s easy to keep topping off with more water or tea as the hours roll by.
Some of my favorites to boil (so far):
Yu Lan Xiang (Magnolia)
Laocong Shuxian (Old Bush Narcissus)
Bai Ji Guan (White Rooster Crest)"
