I was playing around with my new DJI Pocket 2 camera and i decided to practice me 'antiquing' skills, to see if i can make that clean footage into something resembling an old, dusty reel of Super 8 film. It's not totally accurate, but pretty close! I took a couple of not very interesting shots of the James V. Turner Reservoir and surrounding trails in E. Providence, RI and set about trying to make them look 'vintage', without resorting to slapping one big filter over everything ;) I did it the old fashioned way, by hand!

The real fun part was working on the sound design and titles. I managed to source some decent background film noises, a leader and tail, and some music from the period (see link below)

This was just a spur of the moment project, the whole thing only took about 90 min. But it was a great way to practice some skills like videography, editing, color grading, audio editing and production, etc. You should try one yourself! Go out and shoot some random footage on your phone and see if you can make something silly with it!
